COMPREHENSIVE JEWELRY TRAINING (Short Format) - 360 Hours
This is a comprehensive short course aimed at individuals who plan
to enter the jewelry trade. It teaches many of the same skills as
in the comprehensive course but concentrates on the basic skills.
Students are taught in small groups in four major areas of study:
fundamental jewelry techniques, stone setting, wax modeling and
casting/molds, and decorative processes. No previous experience
is necessary.
Once successfully finishing this course, students will be qualified to work at entry level jobs in the jewelry trade, where the working environment demands a diversity of basic skills.
| Classes Meet: | Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for 12 weeks. A part-time schedule is also available from Monday to Thursday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., for 30 weeks. The course is given in one quarter for 12 weeks, or two terms each of 15 weeks, for 30 weeks, part time. |
| Tuition: | Fee is $7,000. The basic tool kit is $325 plus $28.84 sales tax. The total fee for tuition plus the basic tool kit is $7,353.84. Payment plans are available. |
| Certificate: | Students earn a Certificate in Comprehensive Jewelry Training. |
